Established in 1692, this Flemish bond brick church is one of the finest examples of Georgian ecclesiastical architecture in Southern Maryland. Baptismal font was transported from England in 1735.

Established as a log church in 1672. The present brick church dates from 1772. One of the original parishes of the Province of Maryland and Calvert County’s oldest continuously worshipping congregation. The One-Room Schoolhouse sits on the grounds. Emmanuel United Methodist Church

Established in 1867, the only stone church in the County. The current building was completed in 1903. It is noted for its beautiful Victorian oak interior with glass chandelier and stained glass windows.

Established in 1869, the church was originally called Largent's Chapel. The bell tower was added in 1905 and still calls the community to worship. The church incorporated with Mt. Harmony United Methodist in 1994.

Established in 1684 as log construction, it is the oldest church building in Calvert County. Cast in 1699, the steeple houses the oldest bell in continuous use in Maryland. In 1748, the roof was altered to its present gable form and the date “1748” was set in the brickwork over the front door.

Established in 1847, the congregation has been served by three church buildings. The current church was built in 1923 by the Calvert County firm of Lyons & Gibson. All window and door openings have a gothic arch with stained glass.

Mt. Hope United Methodist Church

Established in 1860, Mt. Hope was "rebuilt" in 1923. The four-acre church site was also the location of an African-American school. Situated on a knoll and surrounded by its historic expansive cemetery, the church is listed on the Maryland Historic Sites Inventory (CT-375).

North Beach Union Church

Established in 1911, this independent church is located directly south of the Town Hall and continues to serve the community of North Beach. It is the town's oldest example of civic architecture. The church is a one-story, gable front building with a pyramidal bell tower.

Established in 1888, this is the oldest Catholic Church & Parish in Calvert County. The present facility was built in 1927 and is constructed of terra cotta tile and stucco.

Patuxent United Methodist Church

The original Patuxent Chapel was established in 1883. In 1893 the church was destroyed by fire and rebuilt. A recent addition earned a Calvert County Historic Preservation Award for compatible architecture.

The sanctuary, built in 1840, is the oldest standing Methodist Church in Calvert County. This two and one-half story brick church is a good example of Greek Revival architecture.

This typical 19th century tidewater church is the oldest on Solomons Island (1870). It has a bell tower; antique stained lead-glass memorial windows and hand-made pulpit, altar and domed ceiling.

St. Edmonds United Methodist Church

Originally built of logs in 1865 with the help of the Freedmen’s Bureau, St. Edmonds served the African-American community as a school and a church. In 1893, the church was burned and rebuilt in 1928. Limited wheelchair access.

Constructed from brick fired in a kiln located on the site in 1842, this church is a good example of late-Federal rural architecture. The tower and steeple were added in 1885. The sanctuary was restored in 2001.

Established in 1889, the chapel is the oldest carpenter Gothic style in Calvert County. Built of simple wood construction with handsome lines and a cathedral ceiling with over 300 years of Anglican tradition.
