Calvert County Department of Economic Development Conducting 2006 Commuter Survey
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- September 21, 2006 - Are you part of the nearly 60 percent of Calvert’s work force who endures long commutes each day to other Maryland counties, Virginia or the District of Columbia? If so, the Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development is looking for you to participate in the 2006 Commuter Survey to study the commuting patterns of Calvert’s workers.
The data collected in the survey will assist the Department of Economic Development and other government agencies in creating marketing programs to attract businesses in targeted industries that can provide similar jobs here in the County. Results will also be used to enhance telecommuting programs and determine the overall transportation patterns of County workers. All responses are confidential and the online survey only takes a moment to complete.
Final results will be made available to the public online in late fall and will be published in the Department’s winter newsletter. Any Calvert resident wishing to complete this survey can do so online at www.ecalvert.com/CommSurvey2006.htm or by calling 410.535.4583 or 301.855.1880 to receive a copy of the survey by mail. The deadline for completion is October 31, 2006.
