August Sizzles in Calvert County

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- July 25, 2006 - As the dog days of summer approach, Calvert County offers residents and visitors so much more than just sandy beaches, shimmering waters and delicious seafood. Children and their parents will soon begin preparations for the official end of summer as the start of another school year approaches; in the meantime, there is plenty to enjoy about summer in Calvert County.

August days can be spent soaking up the sun at any of the County’s beaches or pools or by trying to land the big one (or a crabby one) on a charter boat, community pier or pleasure boat. Summer nights bring free concerts at the boardwalks in Solomons or North Beach and scrumptious meals at waterfront restaurants as the sun sets on another beautiful Calvert County day.
