Chesapeake Hills Golf Club Offers South County Location for Conference/Meeting Space

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- July 10, 2006 - If your organization, club or group is constantly in search of a comfortable and convenient south County place to meet, host a golf tournament or private party, consider the Beacon Grille at Chesapeake Hills Golf Club in Lusby. Chesapeake Hills recently underwent a series of major facility enhancements that have already made a significant impact on course conditions for local golfers. Bunkers have received new drainage, fresh sand and trimmed edges that help define the contours of the course’s fairways and greens. Newly paved cart paths have also been added. In 2003 and 2004, Chesapeake Hills’ fairways were replaced with lush, high-quality Bermuda grass.

In coming months, additional projects for the course will include an expansion of tees and greens, updated irrigation and drainage, clubhouse enhancements and facility landscaping. All enhancement projects will total $1.5 million.

A 6,545-yard, par-72 layout featuring gently rolling hills and tree-lined fairways, Chesapeake Hills also includes a number of strategically placed ponds and creeks that provide a variety of challenges. The course is located in Lusby, Maryland – just minutes north of historic Solomons Island.
