July Begins with a Bang as Calvert County Celebrates Independence Day

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- June 21, 2006 - Bright sunshine, hot temperatures and excited children are indicators that summer is now in full swing. Around the region, people gather to enjoy the season by hosting cookouts, family reunions and pool parties. Many are expected to travel to the area to take in the sights and sounds of Calvert County's fireworks displays. The Town of Chesapeake Beach is first with its signature celebration, scheduled for July 3rd at dusk. The following night, July 4th, Solomons will light up the sky with a magnificent show, destined to make the entire family smile. But that is just the beginning; there are dozens of events in July to delight everyone. Pack a lunch and embark on an adventure in Calvert County - close to home, but away from it all.

Vintage Swimsuit Fashion Show & Picnic
