Each year, MEDA also presents awards to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the State’s economic growth and development through their Volunteer of the Year, Hall of Fame and Life Member Awards.
“We wanted to distinguish projects, programs, and marketing activities that have notably impacted the economic development of an area,” stated Marie S. Keegin, CEcD, President of MEDA. “These awards don’t just recognize individual people, but entire teams and organizations for their outstanding strides in promoting economic development,” explained Linda Vassallo, MEDA Awards Committee member. “We fully expect to put forth several worthy nominations.”
Judging for the awards will be conducted by economic development and marketing professionals who will follow criteria set up for all entries in each area.
