Bank of America in Dunkirk, Md. Stages Grand Opening February 11, 2006

New Banking Center Combines Big Town Access and Convenience With Small Town Personality

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- February 7, 2006 - Teak furniture, decorator floor coverings, sleek chrome and glass countertops, plasma screen television and biometric security – the latest trends in designer home furnishings? No – it’s the newest Bank of America location in the Dunkirk Town Center. The branch, opened just two weeks ago after two years of planning and construction, will host a grand opening on Saturday, February 11, 2006, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A special ribbon cutting ceremony and presentation of checks to local charities will take place at 10:00 a.m. Raffles, giveaways and community safety demonstrations and activities will take place throughout the day. As a special bonus, new customers opening a checking account through March 25 will receive a $25 Bank of America customer appreciation gift card.

Banking Center Manager, Patricia Hill, is a 9-year veteran of Bank of America but is especially pleased with her new Dunkirk center. “The design of this banking center and its location in Dunkirk will allow us to work more closely with our business and consumer customers,” she said. “I am really looking forward to helping our customers realize their financial goals. This new location, in addition to our other banking centers in Prince Frederick, Owings and Lusby, allows Bank of America to fully serve the financial needs of the whole County.” The Dunkirk Banking Center has eight employees and offers a variety of financial products and services including checking and savings accounts, equity loans, mortgages and investments.

While Bank of America is one of the first establishments to open in the new Dunkirk Town Center on the northbound side of Rt. 4, Hill expects the area to be abuzz with commerce in the months and years to come. “We are in a prime location to serve the community,” said Hill. “Plus, we’re able to combine the convenience and access of a large financial institution with the personal service and attention of a small town bank that people enjoy. It is truly a perfect mix.”
