Reading, 'Riting and 'Rithmetic: Tutoring Club Gets Students Back to Basics in Prince Frederick
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- January 25, 2006 - Dennis and Moyean Schroeder have one goal in mind for their new business in Prince Frederick – to help students achieve academic success. Tutoring Club, one of the country’s fastest growing business franchises, opened its first Maryland store in Prince Frederick in November, 2005, at the Calvert Village Marketplace Shopping Center.
Using a unique and well-tested series of workbooks, specially trained instructors, personalized programs and an atmosphere that is fun, enthusiastic and relies on positive reinforcement, Tutoring Club is a step above the typical supplemental learning experience. Dennis says it is one of the most successful learning programs available. “Tutoring Club’s programs have a low student-to-instructor ratio and incorporate an excellent method of tracking and assessing each student’s progress,” he said. “Students can improve their skills in math or reading one year’s academic level after just 30 or 40 hours of tutoring.”
In addition to the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic, Tutoring Club also offers programs in study skills, SAT preparation and advanced-level mathematics like geometry. Dennis said, “Our aim is to help students get positive results.”
Moyean believes that today’s busy families often wait until it’s too late before intervening to help their children with schoolwork. “Usually parents first see test grades falling, then their child starts to struggle with homework or shows no interest in schoolwork all together,” she said. “It can be absolutely devastating to a child’s self-confidence and parents are frequently frustrated as well as they seek ways to help their children get back on track and succeed. Tutoring Club programs are proven, guaranteed and require no long-term contract and I think they can make all the difference in the world for a child’s self-esteem.”
Tutoring Club is open for tutoring Monday through Thursday, 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. For more information, to schedule a confidential assessment or to receive a tour of the facility, contact the staff of Tutoring Club by e-mail at PrinceFrederickMD@TutoringClub.com or by phone at 410.535.5377.
