Robertson-Slagle Joins Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- October 19, 2005 - The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development is pleased to announce that Kelly Robertson-Slagle has joined their staff as Business Retention Specialist.
Most recently the Director of Government/Member Relations with the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, Robertson-Slagle has also served as a Business Development Specialist with the Maryland Department of Business & Economic Development and brings with her a wide range of experience in business analysis, marketing, grants writing, program management and technical assistance. She has worked on a regional level in both positions and has numerous contacts at the state and local levels that will be of great value to the Department of Economic Development and the Calvert County business community. In addition, Robertson-Slagle holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, has completed numerous continuing education courses through the International Economic Development Council and is a member of the Maryland Economic Development Association.
Robertson-Slagle is anxious to put her skills and experience to work in Calvert County. “Throughout my professional career, I have always enjoyed working with businesses, helping them work through challenges, assisting them with financing and marketing concerns and celebrating successes with them,” she said. “I am looking forward to assisting Calvert County’s thriving business community and working with the other staff members at the Department of Economic Development to create a host of new programs and services to enhance outreach efforts.”
