Good Vibrations and Positive Energies Swirl at the Triad Center for the Soul
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- August 2, 2005 -- Shellie Lambert admits she hasn’t always had the ability to heal people. In fact, her talents are relatively new; however, her passion for the powers of holistic healing is contagious and her skills are gaining acceptance among those seeking alternative forms of health treatment in northern Calvert County.
Since founding the Triad Center for the Soul in 2003, Lambert has worked diligently to bring the unique tools, resources and therapies to her clients that are most necessary for their spiritual journeys and paths toward healing. The Center includes a gift shop with candles, oils, incense, jewelry, crystals, tapes and artwork, plus a lending library and workshop rental space for healing professionals seeking space for speaking engagements, private readings or group meetings. In addition, Lambert offers a wide variety of workshops and classes each month on subjects like Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi, spirit circles with psychic mediums, public energy shares, intuitive readings, dream interpretation and even belly dancing for healing and health.
Pat Tyndall, of Chesapeake Beach, was a recent participant in Lambert’s belly dancing class and said she really enjoyed the experience. “I’ve always been intrigued by belly dancing; it seemed so fun and exotic,” she said. “I liked the healing aspect of this class and would definitely do it again.”
Lambert is also a Reiki (pronounced “RAY-kee”) and Seichim/Sekhem master. This ancient method of hands-on healing uses guided spiritual imagery to shift energies and aid in healing. The treatment is conducted on fully clothed clients who lie on a massage table as Lambert places her hands lightly on the areas of their body where she senses blocked or stagnant energies. “It’s a simple but very effective way to help restore harmony and balance to people,” said Lambert. “Most clients feel a profound sense of peace during and after the treatment, and many report feeling like a weight has been lifted from their bodies. It’s amazing the effect that stress, fear and worry can have on the human body and spirit, but we all have an amazing ability to heal ourselves – sometimes we just need a little help.” Lambert’s Reiki treatments typically take about 1-1/2 hours and must be scheduled in advance.
Another of Lambert’s specialties is vibrational energy healing through toning and she is one of only a few people able to heal employing this method. Sessions consist of a variety of voice-activated tones and sounds directed at the body, with the addition of music, crystals, or chimes and bells, while the client stands, fully clothed. These sessions are very effective in breaking up, releasing and removing energy blockages and physical and emotional pain contained within the body. “Often times,” said Lambert, “release and pain relief are felt immediately by my clients.”
Lambert believes there are many people who could benefit from the healing powers of alternative or holistic healing methods because of blocked energy, unhappiness, pain, fear, illness, stress or worry. “The first thing people must do, before anything else, is learn to heal themselves,” she said. “The power to serve God and the peace that comes with such service is great, yet without strength in your own being, you won’t have strength for anyone else.”
