Calvert County, Md. Department of Economic Development Features Town Center Development Plans on Web Site

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- July 7, 2005 -- One of the most frequently asked questions of economic development staff is: “What’s going where?” Especially in areas like Lusby and Prince Frederick, where there is a buzz of development activity, citizens are interested in knowing how landscapes will change, what new shopping and dining choices will be available and what opportunities exist for expanding or starting their own businesses.

The Calvert County, Md. Department of Economic Development is pleased to offer the citizens an opportunity to view site plans of the development currently occurring in the Lusby Town Center in a web-based pilot project highlighting Town Center development. As a result of the 2005 Strategic Planning Session, the Department is using Lusby as a pilot to promote the comprehensive growth and development of the County’s Town Centers, with plans to feature other Town Centers in the future.
