Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development Co-Hosts Free Workshop on Customer Service
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- May 18, 2005 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development, along with the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce, will host a free workshop on customer service skills on Thursday, June 2, 8:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, Prince Frederick. As part of the Chamber’s Business Over Breakfast seminar series, the June event will provide information on how businesses can attract new customers, retain the customers they have and delight all their customers with uncommon skill and attention to detail.
Carolyn McHugh, director of the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce said, “It doesn’t make any difference whether you are a sole proprietor designing web sites, a bank with front line tellers or a multi-million dollar company producing widgets. Poor customer service can take away from your bottom line but good customer service is the key to business success.”
The two-hour workshop will cover information that both front-line workers and back-office decision makers will find useful. The event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
