Calvert County Economic Development Commission To Conduct Strategic Planning Meeting
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- March 8, 2005 -- The Calvert County Economic Development Commission (EDC) announced today that they will conduct their annual Strategic Planning meeting on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Calvert County Fairgrounds in Barstow. Registration will begin at 8:30a.m.
The Five-Year Strategic Plan is the blueprint to achieve a balanced and sustainable community. The plan represents the combined effort of the EDC, the Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC), the Economic Development Authority (EDA), County businesses, citizens and public officials who defined approaches to improve the County’s economic climate. To measure success, the plan is reviewed and revised on a yearly basis by the EDC and presented to the public. The goals of the annual meeting are to review the current plan and make recommendations regarding new actions for strategic goals.
The meeting is open to the public and free, but pre-registration is required. Refreshments and lunch will be served.
