Potas Joins Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- October 06, 2004 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development is pleased to announce that Jeanine Potas has joined their staff as tourism program specialist.
Formerly a product development manager with the Araz Group in Bloomington, Minn., Potas has a wide range of skills in trade show management, marketing, sales and promotion. With more than 10 years of experience, her skills in developing successful marketing products and campaigns will be especially useful in her tourism position with the Department of Economic Development where her immediate goal will be to contribute to the promotion of Calvert County as a tourism destination.
In addition to her professional experience, Potas holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
“Having moved from a large city, I was pleasantly surprised at how much there is to do in Calvert County. I look forward to marketing all the activities, events and historical sites that Calvert County has to offer; it’s a product I can really get excited about. I know that through marketing, we can get the travelers here, and the many year-round activities will ensure they return for more.”
