Calvert Manufacturer Receives "Innovator of the Year" Honors
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- September 01, 2004 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development is working with The Daily Record to find Calvert County’s most innovative, imaginative and visionary business owners for the annual Innovator of the Year awards. The program, created in 2002 by The Daily Record, a Baltimore-based legal and business news source, offers businesses with cutting-edge technology, creative services or simply a better way to do things the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts.
To be eligible, an individual or company must have created or introduced a product, service, program or process between January 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004. The innovation must have been created or introduced in Maryland and nominated companies must be located in Maryland. Individuals may nominate themselves or their own company.
The finalists will be honored at a gala dinner at the Wyndham Baltimore Hotel on September 23, 2004, at which time the top Innovator of the Year will be announced. Winners will also be profiled in the Innovator of the Year magazine, which will be published in The Daily Record on September 24.
