Calvert Country Market Offers Senior Citizen Discounts
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- August 31, 2004 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development announced today that, beginning in September, vendors at Calvert Country Market (CCM) will offer discounts and specials for senior citizens every Thursday. Examples of the specials that can be expected are 10 percent off the price of food and craft items, 50 cents off a loaf of bread at Bunnyhead’s Bakery and senior citizen lunch specials at the delicatessen.
Market manager, Peter Carlson, hopes the discounts will offer senior citizens another reason to shop at CCM. “We sell the freshest produce, baked goods, meats and seafood around,” Carlson said. “I’m certain with the additional discounts and specials that senior citizens can enjoy every Thursday, the Calvert Country Market will become a favored shopping place.”
Calvert Country Market, located in the Prince Frederick Shopping Center, 98 S. Solomons Island Road, in Prince Frederick, Maryland, offers locally grown fresh produce, berries, flowers, herbs, baked goods, honey, pies, certified organic products, and local crafts. Additionally, CCM features a bakery, seafood, butcher, green grocer, delicatessen, antiques shop, fine jewelry, candies, essential oils and aromatherapy items and a gourd shop.
