Boonchaisri Joins Department of Economic Development
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- June 30, 2004 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development is pleased to announce that Danita Boonchaisri has joined their staff as marketing and communications specialist.
Formerly with the College of Southern Maryland as director of the Small Business Development Center and the Entrepreneur and Leadership Center, Boonchaisri brings with her a wide range of skills in economic development, small business management, strategic planning, marketing and public relations. She has over twelve years of experience in a variety of high-profile positions and spent six years managing programs and services for nonprofit organizations.
In addition, she holds a master's degree in management and a bachelor's degree in communi-cations from the University of Maryland University College. Boonchaisri's immediate focus will be on helping the Department of Economic Development satisfy their mission of enhancing the economy of Calvert County by promoting quality economic development and tourism.
