Dawn's Early Light Early Childhood Center to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- June 24, 2004 -- The Calvert County, Maryland Department of Economic Development announced today that Dawn’s Early Light Early Childhood Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 29th at 2:00 p.m. in their new facility located at 302 Steeple Chase Drive, Suite 405, in Prince Frederick.

“We provide a structured learning environment that stimulates a child’s heart and mind,” said Dawn O’Connor-Bowman, owner. “Dawn’s Early Light prepares children for the transition into structured school settings and offers our school-aged group fun activities to keep them busy before and after school and throughout the summer.” The Center is currently seeking accreditation through the Maryland Department of Education. “We are extremely proud of the new Prince Frederick Center and invite everyone to join us on June 29th”, says O’Connor-Bowman.

The 4,800 sq. ft. facility officially opened its doors on June 14th with 20 employees, and can accommodate up to 103 children from six weeks to 10 years of age. The Center is very modern with controlled access doors and current trends in play equipment, featuring a fantastic playground! In addition to the Prince Frederick center, Dawn’s Early Light also has a facility on West Ward Road in Dunkirk, Maryland.
