Slim and Tone 30-Minute Workout for Women to Open in Prince Frederick
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- October 09, 2003 -- The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that a new women-only fitness club will open on October 18th in the Calvert Village Shopping Center, 192 W. Dares Beach Road, in Prince Frederick.
"Slim and Tone is specifically designed for women who do not feel comfortable in a traditional hard-body gym," said Donna Tucker, co-owner of the club. Set in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment, the circuit-training workout is a combination of hydraulic resistance machines and cardiovascular stations set up in intervals. "Each member can go at her own pace while still getting a great workout," adds Tucker. "Members move from station to station in just 30 minutes. Each piece of equipment offers nine different settings - something competitors can't match." Slim and Tone offers convenient all day hours and allows club members to exercise as long as they like. "We make it convenient, efficient and fun. Now there really are no excuses!" said Tucker.
Slim and Tone 30-Minute Workout for Women, LLC is headquartered in Yardley, PA. The company was founded in late 2002 by Betsy Ludlow, a former New York marketing executive. There are already over 40 Slim and Tone fitness center franchises set to open across the United States and is the first 30-minute franchise operation to expand into Asia with a club in Shanghai, China.
