Calvert County 350th Anniversary Celebration Participation Forms
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- September 11, 2003 -- The Calvert County Department of Economic Development announced today that the Calvert County’s 350th Anniversary Celebration participation forms have been distributed. Participation forms are required to participate and are available through the Department of Economic Development. The deadline for registration for this event is December 31st, 2003.
On Saturday, April 17th, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Calvert County will celebrate its 350th Anniversary with a parade and festival in downtown Prince Frederick. This festival, along with other activities and events that will take place throughout 2004, will be a celebration of Calvert County’s history and heritage, and this event will be held rain or shine. The Calvert County Tourism Advisory Committee, in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development, is calling for community participation as food vendors, parade participants, artisans and crafters, and entertainers and performers for this one day event. "We welcome associations, organizations, school bands and choruses, youth groups, clubs, neighborhoods, professional guilds, and support and outreach programs to apply to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event," said Herman Schieke, chairman of the 350th Anniversary Celebration committee.
