Calvert Country Market, Inc. Reopens August 3, 2003

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- July 17, 2003 -- The Department of Economic Development announced today that the Calvert Country Market (CCM) will celebrate it’s Grand Re-Opening on August 3, 2003 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prince Frederick Shopping Center, 98 S. Solomons Island Rd, Prince Frederick, MD. CCM opened last year on June 29, 2002 to a standing room only crowd. This year the entire space has been completely renovated and is ready for business. This year’s celebration will include live music from local artists, Riverside South, free CCM t-shirts to the first 100 customers, along with free balloons and popcorn.

CCM vendors will include over 15 local farmers and crafters/artisans. In addition to the vendors from last year, CCM will now feature five commercial vendors which include: Bunnyheads Bakery, Captain Smith’s Seafood, Calvert County Super Deli, NZN Quality Produce, and The Gourdman. CCM commercial businesses will be open for business Monday through Saturday from 7a.m. to 7p.m., Sundays from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Farm and craft/artisan vendor stalls will be open Wednesday from 11a.m to 2p.m. and Saturday from 9a.m. to 2p.m.

The Calvert Country Market will offer fresh vegetables, fruits, fresh cut flowers, fresh eggs, baked goods, seafood, deli meats and sandwiches, local arts and crafts and much more.
