Calvert Country Market, Inc. Season Opening, June 29, 2002
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- June 14, 2002 -- The Calvert County Farmers Market announced today that they have uprooted and planted their feet at the Prince Frederick Shopping Center. Along with a new location there comes a new name, the Calvert Country Market. This Season’s Opening will be on June 29, 2002 from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Kids activities will include an interactive Farmer for a Day exhibit, free coloring books and more. Live entertainment will be offered from 11:00am –2:00pm with a performance by the Flyin’ Blind Bluegrass band. The first 100 customers will receive a free Calvert Country Market T-shirt. Don’t miss our season opening!
The Calvert Country Market will offer locally grown fresh produce, berries, flowers, herbs, baked goods, honey, fresh seafood, local crafts and much more. Hours of operation will be Wednesday: 4-7pm, Saturday: 9am-6pm and Sunday: 10am-6pm through December. The Market will undergo further renovations and a Grand Opening is scheduled for April of 2003. Limited space available for vendors.
