Calvert County Economic Development Commission Conducts Five-Year Strategic Planning Meeting

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- March 12, 2002 -- The Calvert County Economic Development Commission (EDC) announced today that they will conduct their annual Strategic Planning meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. at the Calvert Pines Senior Center Auditorium in Prince Frederick. Registration will begin at 8:30a.m. The meeting is open to the public. Pre-registration is required.

The Five-Year Strategic Plan is the blueprint to achieve a balanced and sustainable community. The plan represents the combined effort of the EDC, the Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC), the Economic Development Authority (EDA), County businesses, citizens and public officials who defined approaches to improve the County’s economic climate. To measure success, the plan is reviewed and revised on a calendar basis by the EDC and presented to the public. The EDC is proud to announce the completion of their first Five-Year Plan and is seeking community input and participation as they begin preparations for the next Five-Year Plan.

Pre-registration is required. Refreshments and lunch will be served.
