R&R Fabrication Expanding Business Operations at the Calvert County Industrial Park
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- October 23, 2001 -- The Calvert County Economic Development Authority (EDA) announced today the sale of Lot 32 at the Calvert County Industrial Park (CCIP) in Prince Frederick to R&R Fabrication (R&R). R&R owns and operates a 28,000 square foot manufacturing facility at the park and employs approximately 55 people. R&R plans to construct leasable warehouse space on Lot 32. R & R made the decision to expand their business operations based on their successful at the CCIP.
"We have been so successful at the park over the past eight years, we’ve decided to broaden our operations into another business venture," said Randy Williams, R & R vice president.
"R&R has show wonderful success over the past eight years," said Terry Wolfley, Chair, Calvert County EDA. "We are delighted that they plan to build much needed leasable space in the County. Many businesses inquire about this type of space and we are anxious to have this come on line."
The Calvert County Industrial Park consists of 226+ acres divided into 42 lots. The park is the largest full-scale industrial park in the County and is designated as a Maryland Enterprise Zone. The Calvert County Industrial Park is the only Enterprise Zone in Southern Maryland. The average lot size is 2.5 acres. The Park is located five miles west of Prince Frederick and 32 miles from the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The EDA is responsible for promoting quality economic development County-wide and is the sole owner and manager of the Calvert County Industrial Park.
