Small Business Development Center to Offer Services in Prince Frederick Starting Feb. 17
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- January 13, 2000 -- The Calvert County Department of Economic Development is excited to announce that beginning February 17, 2000, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will provide on-site business counseling at the Economic Development offices in Prince Frederick.
This service is made available through the SBDC headquartered at Charles County Community College in La Plata, Md. (soon to be the College of Southern Maryland, July 2000), and is provided as a service to Calvert County's business community.
The SBDC offers professional business counseling and assistance to pre-business entrepreneurs and small businesses. SBDC consultants work with clients to produce practical solutions to business problems. One-on-one counseling is offered in basic operational and strategic planning as well as many other business-related issues such as business plan development, e-commerce, financing, marketing and advertising, and accounting and bookkeeping.
Additionally, the SDBC sponsors workshops, provides a business resource library, and offers access to worldwide databases. The SBDC's services will be provided every Thursday.
