Calvert County EDA Announces Relocation of Capital Food Service, Inc.

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- August 25, 1998 -- The Calvert County Economic Development Authority (EDA) announced today that Capital Food Service, Inc. (CFS) will relocate operations from Annapolis to the Calvert County Industrial Park.

"We are moving to the Calvert County Industrial Park because they are centrally located to our client base in Southern Maryland," said Robert Sauls, CFS. "The Park is a good central location for our customers now and I anticipate that this location will provide new opportunities for us in the future."

"Capital Foods is a strong, growing company that will add variety to the mix of industries in the Industrial Park," said Jeff Stone, director of economic development. "They are an example of an increasing amount of companies who have discovered Calvert County as a profitable business location that offers an unexploited workforce and an area where their employees can live, work and play."

Capital Food Service is expected to relocate to Calvert County in the fall of 1999. Capital Food Service will construct a 12,000 square foot facility and hopes to eventually expand to 18,000 square feet of which 6,000 square feet will be available for lease.
