Calvert County Farmers Market Association Seeking Growers for 1998 Season

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md., -- May 15, 1998 -- The Calvert County Farmers Market Association announced today that it is currently seeking growers for the 1998 season. The Association invites growers to join with them in selling farm produce and farming handiworks at the Calvert County Farmers Market.

The Farmers Market offers locally grown fresh produce, berries, flowers, herbs, baked goods, honey, pies, aquatic bedding and vegetable plants, and certified organic products. Typicallly operated from June - October, increased participation could expand operating hours through the holiday season, providing enhanced seasonal opportunities for sellers.
