Nine large D.C. Flyer buses serve the Greater Washington Area. Seven of these buses leave from the Calvert County Fairgrounds on Route 231. Parking is available. Bus service is also available from Chesapeake Beach. The County operates 13 smaller buses that operate from Prince Frederick to Chespeake Beach, Barstow and Solomons.

Schedules can be obtained on the buses, at public libraries, the hospital information desk, senior centers and social services. There are also vans offering door-to-door services for the handicapped and senior citizens.
