The Department of Economic Development actively promotes and supports Agriculture in Calvert County.

As a service to the Agriculture Commission, the Department coordinates a variety of projects including:

• Publication of the Farm Products Directory
• Agriculture Week activities
• Calvert County Farm Tour

As a result of the Economic Development Commission's Strategic Planning process, an Agriculture/Maritime Task Force was formed to identify the agriculture and maritime industry's short and long-term needs and concerns, and to bring these concerns to the attention of the Economic Development Commission.
